The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) has launched ACEN Academy, a centralized e-learning platform designed to support accreditation-focused professional development across nursing education programs.

ACEN Academy was developed to provide on-demand access to ACEN-developed courses that support accreditation readiness, consistency, and continuous improvement. All content is aligned with the ACEN Standards and Criteria and is designed to support learning across the full accreditation journey.

Through ACEN Academy, individuals within nursing education programs can engage with accreditation education in alignment with their individual timelines and needs. The platform serves a broad range of roles involved in accreditation, including nurse administrators and program leaders, faculty engaged in accreditation-related activities, accreditation coordinators, programs preparing for initial accreditation or navigating substantive changes, and peer evaluators.

ACEN Academy offers expert-developed courses that support foundational understanding, preparation for key accreditation milestones, and ongoing compliance. Learning opportunities are designed to reinforce consistent interpretation and application of ACEN Standards and Criteria while supporting confidence and quality improvement over time. Many courses offer continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.

ACEN Academy includes the Foundations of ACEN Accreditation e-Course Bundle, which provides foundational education aligned with the ACEN Standards and Criteria in an on-demand, online format. This bundle builds on the core learning objectives previously offered through ACEN’s in-person Self-Study Forum, while expanding access through flexible, self-directed learning that can be completed based on individual needs and timelines.

As a year-round educational resource, ACEN Academy complements ACEN’s broader educational offerings by providing accessible, online learning that supports accreditation education when it is most relevant to learners and programs.
